Superman (2025) was okay. This was the first time, at least in a long while, where they got lex luthor approximately correct. Bald, xenophobic, and laser focused on ending Superman. It was a little bit odd to have lex luthor back seat quarterbacking by calling out predetermined a tax sequences with quasi chess move alphanumeric sequences.
And, age-wise, they had Lex Luthor about 10 to 15 years younger than he should be.
There were also one or two times where the actor bled through.
The film overall did Get a bit comic booky, with some bleeding over into SimCity 2000 towards the end.
Krypto the dog was there for comic relief it seems. I just couldn’t see this dog as a character unto itself.
Nanites are used in this film, and their introduction comes across as “this is future technology!”, But yeah okay we have seen these little buggers before in almost every other sci-fi or comic book flick. But sure, let’s go ahead.

There were some glancing blows of nature versus nurture, as well as hope versus nihilism. And some projection of stoicism from myself, but that’s from a recent new interest of mine.
There are two post credit scenes, both of which you can reasonably skip.
On a side note, they made Jimmy Olsen a bit of an asshole. I don’t recall Jimmy being like this in the comics. But I suppose that’s what some people get when they try to flesh out a side supporting comic book character. Damn.
And they did make lex luthor and asshole on top of everything else, perhaps unnecessarily.
