The film, “Toy Story 5” was enjoyable. For those of us surprised that there are now 5 Toy Story movies, I’ll remind you that there are currently 14 installments of “The Land Before Time”, and I did not feel like asking where the asteroid is during this film.
My local feeder likes to display an ad for Francis Ford Coppola’s winery during their pre-show, and this movie was no exception. I suppose they were hoping to get parents on board or something.
Couldn’t be advertising to the children. Heaven forbid.
References to other movies include references for “The Shawshank Redemption”,”The Empire Strikes Back”, & “Predator”.
Children with memories might later complain that they had the big reveal in “The Empire Strikes Back” ruined, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles.
That franchise belongs to Disney currently, so they can continue to ruin it as much as they want, especially in this animated franchise that they also own.
Themes include working together whilst overcoming differences. Who knew?
It took me far too long to realize the humor in the design for the Smarty Pants character, but it was quite clever.
There is a mid credit scene, before the credits switch over to standard movie credits.
