Recently, over the past few months, I have started to receive a particular new kind of eMail spam.
I usually block these by adding either their email address or their email domain to my spam filter.
This particular variety, however, spoofs my own email address.
I don’t really want to spam block my own eMail address.
Fortunately, my hosting company offers eMail filters. And these particular spam variety have a pretty study subject line.
Now I get to see if I’m effective with the new filter in place.
I was reminded of previous filters I had set up, which tells me that not only are they effective, but that I was able to do this with particular unwanted eMail messages. There had been one brand where I wasn’t sure if I had done the needful through method one, or method two. Now I know.
I am looking forward to this working.
